This isn’t just maintenance — it’s a transformation. We’re lifting the standards, de-risking the future, and keeping Auckland moving.

As part of KiwiRail’s RNGIM programme, Cuetone Media worked with CB Civil to capture the incredible work happening across Auckland’s rail network.

RNGIM (Rail Network Growth Impact Management) aims to clear maintenance backlogs, lift infrastructure standards, and proactively prepare the network for the upcoming pressure of the CRL (City Rail Link) becoming operational.

CB Civil is leading vital upgrades across Tamaki Makaurau – from ballast excavation to formation and drainage works – along the Eastern Line, NAL South, Wiri to Pukekohe, and the Western Line.

These upgrades are taking place in live rail corridors, meaning every moment of work must be meticulously planned to align with access windows — often over weekends and public holidays.

This programme represents a shift from traditional renewals to a long-term improvement strategy.

Through this video, we spotlight the people behind the progress — working tirelessly while the city rests, laying the groundwork for a faster, safer, more reliable transport network for all Aucklanders.
